Bordering the Atlantic Ocean in the South Portuguese Algarve lies the small traditional fishing village of Olhão. The authentic old village centre features narrow alleyways, winding streets, and white and pastel-colored cubic houses with Moorish characteristics.

With its two bedrooms and two bathrooms, both situated on the ground floor, Casa Opala is the ideal holiday home for two couples or a family.
On the ground floor you also find the cosy living room, but you will probably spend more time in the airy open plan kitchen on the first floor and on its neighbouring terrace.
A special bonus is the roof terrace, with a small swimming pool, outdoor shower, lounge area, and wonderful views over the historic centre of Olhão. The fishing village and its surrounding areas guarantee an authentic experience of the Algarve.
In the morning, you can walk to the local bakery and stop for a cup of coffee with a delicious "pastel de nata" at one of the many "Pastelarias". In the evening, you can dine on the boulevard, which offers a wide choice of traditional restaurants.
On the waterside you also find the market halls, a must-see, because of the wide variety of fresh fish and seafood on offer, along with a large supply of locally grown vegetables and fruit.
The market halls are surrounded by terraces, from which you can watch the boats go by, whilst listening to the jazzy music playing in the local cafés.
