Its exceptionally high water quality makes it ideal for shellfish farming, and you can also gather shellfish on foot at low tide. Port-des-Barques also has a fascinating history and lies in a culturally rich region, with places such as Brouage, Rochefort, Saintes and La Rochelle. Bed linen and towels are not included in your booking but can be requested as optional extras.
