The climate is pleasant and mild, with generous sunshine throughout the year. A stay combining tranquillity and charm. Alongside its peace and quiet, the village offers all the essential shops and services to meet the needs of both local residents and the many holidaymakers who visit during the summer season. Port-des-Barques is part of the Marennes-Oléron basin, which produces a large proportion of the oysters consumed in France.
Its exceptionally high water quality makes it ideal for shellfish farming, and shellfish gathering at low tide is also possible. Port-des-Barques also has a fascinating history and lies in a culturally rich region that includes Brouage, Rochefort, Saintes and La Rochelle. Bed linen and towels are not included in your booking but can be requested as an optional extra.
End-of-stay cleaning is your responsibility; it can also be requested for an additional fee.

Super accueil des propriétaires! Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme chez nous dans cet adorable gîte au bord de la mer. Très pratique et idéalement placé pour naviguer dans toute la région. De plus, la plage et le marché sont accessibles à pied avec des enfants en bas âge. Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir de ces vacances à Port-des-barques. Je recommande vivement :)
