The Petronell-Carnuntum campsite is a small, family-run campsite just a few minutes' walk from the town center. The site offers up to 8 pitches for motorhomes and caravans as well as around 15 tent pitches, which can be chosen flexibly on the site or marked out if required - ideal for travelers who want to be uncomplicated and free-standing. The spacious, level lawns create a relaxed atmosphere, while the proximity to the tennis hall with its cozy restaurant provides a practical infrastructure. Here you can start the day with breakfast or enjoy regional delicacies - perfect after a hike or an excursion. Facilities and services: Sanitary facilities (WC & hot showers) via the tennis hallDrinking water, electricity connections and washing-up facilitiesCovered snack area and washing facilities in the outdoor areaSmall huts for rent (for up to 4 people)Dogs welcomeBreakfast and lunch available at the inn (depending on the season; booking recommended) Perfect location for explorers: Camping Petronell-Carnuntum is the ideal starting point for cultural discoveries and active adventures. Just a few minutes away is the impressive Roman town of Carnuntum with its reconstructed Roman houses, thermal baths and the striking Pagan Gate. The baroque Petronell Castle and other historical sights are also within easy reach. The region also offers a wide range of opportunities for cycling and hiking tours - for example along the Danube, in the Donau-Auen National Park or in the nearby Hundsheim mountains. Another highlight are the magnificent Marchfeld castles such as Schloss Hof and Schloss Niederweiden, which are perfect for a day trip. The campsite is located directly on the Way of St. James and is therefore also a popular stopover for pilgrims. Thanks to the good connections to rail and cycle paths, excursions to Hainburg an der Donau, Vienna or Bratislava are also possible without any problems.
Conditions/extras
You pay the total amount on site in cash or by card. Cancellation is free of charge up to 1 day before the arrival date. The hut can be canceled free of charge up to 1 week before arrival. The cancellation fee depends on the length of stay and is sent with the booking confirmation.
