Located in Fontaines, in the South Vendée, Gîte des Bougrines is an accommodation just 5 minutes from the Marais Poitevin, 45 minutes from the ocean, 50 minutes from La Rochelle, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou. This holiday rental, surrounded by horse meadows, has been recently renovated to welcome you. It offers a living area on the ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen and lounge, two bedrooms with 160 cm beds and plenty of storage, a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom, and separate toilets.
The accommodation has retained its old-world charm thanks to exposed stone and beams in the main room.
This comfortable gîte guarantees you a peaceful stay in the countryside, away from the village and other houses.
Both children and adults can discover the animals at the gîte: chickens, geese, ducks, and horses around the property. The gîte is about 2 km from the center of Fontaines, 10 minutes from Fontenay-le-Comte, and 5 minutes from the Marais Poitevin and the Abbey of Maillezais.
Many hiking and cycling trails are nearby, as well as boat docks for trips in the Marais Poitevin.
The lake and park of Mervent are 30 minutes away. A bakery-pastry shop is located 1 km away in the village.
A car is essential for shopping, with several supermarkets 10 km away (in Fontenay-le-Comte). The nearest airport is in La Rochelle, about 1 hour away.
