Worth a visit is the historic center of Palermo with monuments of different eras: Renaissance, Baroque and Arab-Norman style, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and famous monuments such as the Cathedral of Palermo, the Norman Palace with the Palatine Chapel with beautiful mosaics and the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, the largest opera house in Italy.
Impressive is Monte Pellegrino, a nature reserve that closes the gulf to the north of the city.
Some tips for exploring the area: the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the Addaura Caves with Paleolithic drawings carved into rocks, and more.
Palermo offers several large markets, colorful and lively, stretching along the streets and alleys of the old town, offering local products of all kinds and for all tastes.
For beach lovers, there are many equipped beaches, also suitable for children; the most famous is certainly that of Mondello with crystal clear waters.

Der Vermieter und die Vermieterin sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, wir waren durch den verspäteten Flug spät angekommen, aber der Vermieter Paolo hatte trotz später zeit auf uns geduldig gewartet und hatte uns gefragt ob wir schon was gegessen hatten, wir meinten nein und er brachte uns erstmal ne Salami und etwas Brot und zwei Bier, was wir gut gebraucht hatten und auch sehr nett fanden.

Super netter Kontakt, Paolo hat uns alles erklärt, Verständigung in italienisch und online Übersetzer. Treffpunkt für die Schlüsselübergabe etwas unübersichtlich, besser wäre es den Parkplatz vom gegenüber liegenden Conad Einkaufsladen zu nutzen. Unbedingt vorher anrufen, am besten 1h vorher!!!
Paolo fährt dann zur Unterkunft vor und zeigt den Weg, sowie die Einrichtung.

Das Luxus- Apartment liegt oben in den Bergen, in einer sehr ruhigen Lage. Für Bedarfe des Alltags oder Ausflüge kann man mit der sympathischen Mitarbeiterin, was ausmachen, die stets hilfsbereit ist oder es lässt sich auch ein Taxi bestellen (was jedoch deutlich teurer ist).Wer gerne eine schöne Z...
