Perched in the heart of Portilla de la Reina, Nido de Águila — Eagle's Nest — is a charming country house that lives up to its evocative name.
Nestled within the breathtaking southern landscapes of the Picos de Europa National Park, León, northern Spain, this ground-floor retreat offers sweeping mountain views and an authentic rural atmosphere that will leave you refreshed and inspired. Sleeping up to 4 guests across 2 comfortable bedrooms, this 60 square metre country house combines rustic charm with modern comfort.
Wi-Fi is available throughout, ensuring you stay connected while surrounded by some of Spain's most spectacular mountain scenery. The property takes its name from the golden eagles that soar above the surrounding peaks — a reminder of the extraordinary wildlife that calls the Picos de Europa home.
From Iberian chamois and wolves to rare bird species, the area is a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Portilla de la Reina is the ideal base for exploring one of Spain's most iconic natural parks.
Embark on world-class hiking trails, tackle challenging rock climbing routes, or follow the banks of the Esla River for a scenic walk and a spot of fly fishing.
The Riaño reservoir, the Valdeón valley, and the legendary Naranjo de Bulnes summit are all within easy reach. Whether you are seeking adventure or peaceful solitude among the mountains, Nido de Águila offers an unforgettable escape in the wild heart of northern Spain.
