If you love relaxing and admiring the scenery, you’ll find a true haven of peace within these 200-year-old stone walls overlooking the river. This traditional, comfortable house is the perfect base for discovering the treasures of the Périgord Noir.
With two bedrooms, a welcoming living area, and authentic charm, it’s a peaceful retreat. The stone house boasts magnificent views of the Dordogne.
There are two bedrooms with views: one on the ground floor with a king-size bed and private bathroom with WC; the other upstairs with a king-size bed, a single bed, and private bathroom with WC. Upstairs, you’ll find a rooftop terrace with spectacular views of the river and the picturesque village of La Roque-Gageac, just a short walk away.
Only 12 km from Sarlat, you can explore many attractions such as the castles of Castelnaud and Beynac, the gardens of Marqueyssac, or prehistoric caves like the Grotte de Domme. The house also features a small, well-equipped kitchen and a cozy living room with access to the balcony—perfect for breakfast or morning coffee overlooking the river. Wi-Fi is not available. 5G mobile coverage is available for most providers.

La propreté des lieu et l'emplacement. La vue est magique.
Nous avons eu très froid dans le salon, la cuisine et la salle d'eau. La porte en bois et les fenêtres en simple vitrage laissent passer le froid. The view from the terrace across the Dordogne is extraordinary, the birds in the towering of cliff above the house are delightful, the house is very comfortable - “chateau toutes comforts” as my father used to say - the heat is excellent, and the kitchen is easily the best equipped we have ever had the pleasure to cook in in a rental property.
Having to go home! And the little road up to the house is getting steep for us (we are in our late seventies). But Arthur and Elisa, the caretakers, were willing to give give us a hand with ghe bags, which made it easy.

The house has a perfectly situated shady terrace for viewing La Roque Gageac across a lazy bend in the Dordogne River. We loved the interior - very warm and comfortable, and particularly handsomely decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear and basics, making it easy to shop at the loc...
