Porthreath has a popular surfing beach, a cycle trail runs for 11 miles to Devoran on the coast, and Truro is a short drive.. 3 steps to entrance.

Please note: There is no road between the cottage and the beach.. Seagull Cottage is a mid-terrace holiday home in a superb location with delightful sea views and just a stone’s throw from Portreath’s sandy beach and harbour.
Portreath is a seaside village on the beautiful North Cornish coast.
Set in a deep valley alongside the rugged, popular surfing beach which is watched over by the local Surf Life Saving Club, and is ideal for swimming and watersports. There are spectacular coastal walks and amazing sunsets.
Within a short flat walk to the heart of the village where you will find shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants.
Ilogan Woods, adjacent to Portreath, with streams and a circular walk leading to the 14th-century church tower at Ilogan. The Mineral Tramway Cycle Trail starts at Portreath and continues for 11 miles through the beautiful Cornish countryside to Devoran on the south coast.
Cycles can be hired close by. Portreath is a perfect location for touring Cornwall, just 3 miles from the main A30 providing easy access to Penzance, St Ives, Lands End, Falmouth and The Lizard Peninsula.
The cathedral city of Truro is just a short drive away with theatre, cinema, bowling and shops.

This is the second time we have been to Seagull Cottage and we just love it. Perfectly situated and nicely presented; spotlessly clean. Only slight issue was that there were 6 of us here this year rather than just 2 last year, so the one toilet became more of an obvious problem , but we got by! 😊

The cottage was in a lovely place on the beach which was great for the dogs. The cottage was very basic and clean but in need of an update. Portreath is a great base if you like to travel around Cornwall as there is not much to do here.

Clean and comfortable. Beds comfy. Portreath itself is very quiet but close to Redruth Penzance and Truro. The local beach is quite small but Hayle beach is a short car journey and fantastic for long walks. Only downside was that we had a problem having no hot water for 4 out of 7 nights. Owner was ...
