Imagine relaxing on the patio, watching the boats and river life pass by. The Wherry is the perfect base from which to do just that.. (Ramp Access).

Please note: There are 3 steps from the verandah to the garden, and unfenced river access.. This very comfortable, spacious lodge enjoys a peaceful riverside setting which is very good for pike fishing (Nov-Jan when there are fewer boats on the water), with its own mooring on the banks of the Bure (view from garden shown in photograph). The living room has a 28in flat screen TV, and patio doors facing the river - dinghies and day boats are available for hire nearby.
Shops and inns are within 0.75 miles at the Broadland ‘capital’ of Wroxham.
The city of Norwich is only 20 minutes’ drive with fine shopping, restaurants and museums.
Sandy beaches are about 12 miles away at Waxham and Sea Palling.

Great location. Comfortable accommodation and the local wildlife were very curious. Only let down by 4 out of 6 bulbs in the kitchen not working making preparing food difficult in the darkness of winter.

Very thing about are stay was lovely. The area was peaceful and the river was full of lots of different birds which was very relaxing. Would stay again.

The only downside is the flooding, and not being told in advance that it can flood. Had to go and buy wellies. Which was not necessary of we had known in advance.
